Way to go making up those entries ...

Drawing? Actually I doodled a few things, didn't help me get any better, but technically it would be a yes.

Games? Movies? Anime?

Umm, I don't think so; not between 1:00 am last night and now. I did forget to mention that I missed both movies ( Venus and Rocky Balboa) I was trying to see this weekend. They got trumped by sleep. Sadness that Rocky will probably be out of the university theater by next weekend, so it will remain unseen like Million Dollar Baby until it plays every 40 seconds on HBO. Venus I'm sure its still be playing down the street. I thought about seeing some of the Best Picture movies ( since a nearby theater is playing all of them ) but I say that every year and never see any of them.

I haven't seen anything good anime torrents come out today, so none of that tonight. After work, I'm going to go by the mall and see if they have Pikimin 2 for GameCube at this Sears. Its suppose to be good and $ 6.00, how can you pass that up? Hm, if it was a hooker? Definite passage.

Anything else?

Not one, but two mentions of Phil of the Future in the blog? I love bad TV.

Beauty mark? Awesome or cancer?

Drawing? Is drawing where you close your eyes and open them 8 hours later? Then, no.

Games?

WoW? Three and half days and I went through half a level. I'm definitely not feeling it, I didn't even log on Saturday. Scrabble has even cooled down; a game here and there with Von Doomliff.

Console or portables? I like buying games more than playing them. I found out today that Wiis are going to come in colors. I'm a little glad that I've been too big a chump to get one so far; going to have to get a red one.

I went over to Steve's store on Saturday. He is still out at cons so no Monopoly, but I was told he bought a DS while on the road. I wonder about his little worker girl, got one too? I don't remember her name but if you ever go up to his store you will know her because with in 40 seconds she will have dropped 10 names, mentioned she is a screenwriter and actress, and SHE DRINKS HOT TEA THROUGH A STRAW. I call her, Straw Tea.

Anyways, I talked to Mike about GameCube games, then me, him and another dude ended up doing a little Magic draft after the store closed. We did a round robin and I won. Not much of a challenge but I was entertained. Cards have changed since I played Magic. Some cards that have come out are so retardly powerful, yet they have made a lot of cards suck it huge to balance it out, but it seems that scale is a bit heavier on the suck side.

Anime?

Kenichi 8: This episode was completely lame. The training was weak, the fights weaker. He is suppose to like train, then show his training in a fight he barely wins; CONTINUE WITH THE FORMULA! Wait they did ... this episode still sucked.

Death Note 13: I hate Misa.

Death Note 14: I HATE MISA. Seriously, this show just pops up lame stuff to stop Light.

Death Note 15: OH SNAP! L you magnificent bastard. You are so much better than Light.

Where is Nodome 3? I need to hate her more. Oh, and I can't stop watching the full dance of Haruhi; she does this thing with her head right at the beginning its so good, and then they do this thing where it looks like they beat their heads with there fist, AWESOME.

Anything else?

I spent the last like 15 minutes watching this girl on YouTube sing. She not great or horrible, but she looks like that girl from Phil of the Future. I'm memorized by the mark.

If two bottles are $1.00, then four bottles would be $2.00 !!

... ?

That's right! You better "
..." !! /chest puff + arrogant eye squint. Man, I'm tough.

Introspective?

I say a lot of dumb stuff.

Games?

I still lack the will to play WoW; another night I only played an hour. I'm falling even further back which is rough since a majority of players are starting the reputation grinds to get heroic modes instances. I think I've probably missed the window to get easy rep grind groups; I'll never be keyed. Maybe I'll get the energy to push out 1 1/2 maybe 2 levels tomorrow, even though I am planning to see a movie tomorrow afternoon and tonight.

I have been playing online Scrabble more than WoW this last week. Playing Von Doomliff over Catrine since I haven't her seen around much since I had to bail on our game 2 days ago to stand in the cold for 45 minutes. I learned a couple of the 2-letter words but I've barely scratched the 3-letter words and "Q, J, X, and Z" words which are even more important. I'm totally lost on when I should play multiple small words or when to just build normally. I'm definitely losing points because I'm obsessed with the 2 letter words. Also, I have no idea if anything I'm doing will help me play Scrabble in real life because a lot of the time, I'm just throwing up words and hoping the game recognizes them. I'm ashamed ... because its not helping me win. I'm owned by the time limit, I think I've only won maybe 1 game so far, all other times I've timed out.

Highlight: Finally used my whole letter rack to make the word "ZITI" and "NOMINEE" ( 81-points ). I think I could hear Von Doomliff die a little.

Movies?

Rocky Balboa is still down the street at the university theater, can I really pass it up for $2.00? Apparently, yes since I slept through both showings last weekend. The Cinema Arts near my house has Venus opening today. Its looks OK, like a Harold and Maude kind of story. I said that to my oldest sister yesterday and she seemed disturbed that her beloved Peter O'Toole would be Maude.

Anime?

The newest "goth girl show" episode came out yesterday. Plenty of Sunako in this episode which made it more enjoyable than the last episode, but pretty lame because it was your generic plot where people flip personalities and you are suppose to find it hilarious, it was not.

Episode 13: How can people not find the loli-goth girls hilarious. Loli~ Loli~ Goth~ Goth~. The scene where all the dudes try and throw-up the mushrooms was HYSTERICAL.

Anything else?

I found a sealed chopstick package with 3 sticks in it. My first, thought was that it was a mutant. My second thought, I am idiot.

Ohh, I've been slacking on my resolution. I probably haven't written in my journal for like a week or more and I missed 2 days in this piece. I'll probably make up these blog entries this weekend; the journal maybe never?

After browsing for errors I discovered this post is mind-numbing.

Don Quixote has taken down greater men then you.

Hey Brah?

ENOUGH! No, I did not practice, but here is that strip I said I would put up.

Unbelievable though someone has actually used this DeviantArt function to "fav" it. Its annoying; upsetting like when my MySpace counter goes up. I'm I suppose to thank them, "fav" one of their pictures? Are there some kind of rules?! Seems like a lot of hassle, the idea occurred to me to write them an angry letter, but honestly that seems at "stoodent" as you can get ... the dilemma.

Games?

Shocking. Nothing to report on WoW. Yesterday, I played about an hour total.

I did buy this yesterday this:
Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Before I get to my opinion of the game, I have to say that the Gamer's Gift Card at Best Buy is totally sweet. It works exactly like they said. You go in, you buy the gift card and I put like 5 bucks on it. The coupon is right on the back of the box. I went got the game, used the coupon and the gift card to buy it, BAM! $5 off.

Ok, back to Hotel Dusk, this game is one of the coolest looking games ever. The opening was amazing, game play looks amazing. Too bad so far nothing else is as good as it looks. The play is completely clunky. The most annoying thing is everything needs to be double clicked with the stylus, which you would think is no big deal till you need to click everything in the world.

YEAH, there is a lot to click; its awesome that its one of those games like Myst, where its like "leave no leaf unturned". But dude, you live in a forest, its 12 miles by 12 miles big, and one side your neighbor sucks and uses his leaf blower to push everything onto your side of the fence, and the other side some dude throws an old christmas tree into your yard and you go "OH, YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. The needles are like infinitely small and ... round." Then you shut off the game.

There is also as much talking as there is clicking, which sucks since there is plenty of clicking while talking. I think after I finished talking to the first dude, I turned 80. But all the talking isn't so bad. They give you a lot of story, but maybe too much. I am a little worried that someone is going to say something important and I'm not going to care because I'm watching like Phil of the Future on TV and I lose the game. It does have some cool features though. During conversations with people you get points in which you can force in a question or let them continue. Also, there are moments where questions and insights come to you, like "What did he mean by that?" These accumulate in a list and you can ask them these questions at the end. At the end of the conversation you can actually read a log of everything said too, and you also have access to a memo pad, where you actually write your own notes with the stylus. I was wowed by it. I am a simple man.

Scrabble still on my mind, too. I printed out a list of like a couple hundred words that are supposedly extremely helpful during Scrabble; like 2 letter words, 3 letter words, and words with Q, J, X and Z in them. I have no idea if its going to help; I've got the list but am I really going to bother to memorize them?

Anime?

So, I watched Nodame Cantabile 1 and 2 yesterday. The show was entertaining and I will continue to watch, but Nodame I've never hated any single anime character so much. She is an embodiment of everything I dislike and then animated. If I were Von Doomliff she would be his employer Aramark combined with Boy Meets World, and she voted against Reagan.

What is the show about? I don't know its kind of like a feel good ... spor ... music??? & Clover. The whole show reminds me of the character designs and animation of Honey & Clover, which was good. Other than that, I don't know what going on, is he a musical prodigy? Nodame is most definitely is, and I guess its going to be about how well they mesh together. I don't know if I am a fan of how they showcase the music. I want more of the characters less time them sitting at the piano.

my captions are like truth put into words

Episode 1: I laughed very loud when, dude hit the soda can and it stirred up flies. Also, what was Nodame wearing in episode one, a potato sack?

Episode 2: Dude, the violinist like seriously how many anime characters can they make look like this guy.

It might not be funny, but its what I would think if i were a zombie.

Hey...? STOP ASKING! Actually, work was extremely boring ... I made another Post Apocolytic Boredom strip, I'll upload tomorrow.

Games?

I didn't play that much this weekend; I was just too tired to play non-stop. I did hit 65 on Sunday, but that's still way behind the rest of the guild; I think there are about ten level 70s already.

I did run both The Slave Pens and The Underbog this weekend; these instances weren't too good. They have a ton of trash and not just you average boring trash, no-no ... fearing trash. FEAR SUCKS IT, and it sucks it twice as much when you are surrounded by even more swarming hordes of trash. SO MUCH TRASH! I think JPL spoke the truth when he called it, "expansion scholo".

I don't think there was anything creative or fun about any of the bosses, or anything at all that makes them memorable, the loot was so-so. I did get a some gloves and dagger. The dagger is like the ugliest weapon ever created, but it is just as good as Perdition's Blade.

Catrine found an online scrabble site, it consumes me. Today at work, she raped me with a triple word score on "pyre", I was left a shell of man after its placement. I think it was revenge for just placing the word "jole" down last night and praying it would work, and it did. Its not good for Catrine that I suck at this game. Any of my friends will tell you, once I start losing I will ask for rematches till you've become crippled and dead from old age, and you never thought that death would be so sweet.

Anime?

I'm not obsessing over Burning Crusade like I thought I would be. The fact I can't even dream of keeping up with an A or B team group, makes me laz ... ier. I still haven't gotten around to watching anything though, but I've download Nodame Cantabile. It was recommend to me by Catrine and she seems pretty accurate when it comes to good shows. It better be good though because I don't tolerate failure. I'll probably watch it and Death Note 13 & 14 at the same time. Only about 8 thousand fansubbers have taken over Death Note. I'm putting all my eggs with Animada; they better please me.

Friday, January 19, 2007

What? Do you mean the Katie Super Unit?

The D? Nada.

What is the Katie Super Unit? Its a long boring story. But the entry title is what I say anytime my sister asks me about my real gold minted currency.

Games?

I am weak. I bring continuous shame to JPL. Yesterday, I logged off an went to bed at 1:00 am only about 10 easy quest completions from 63. Not that 63 is anything to be happy about since the majority of my guild is 64/65 and now when I log on tonight I'm sure I'll see some 66s. This official puts me at the back of the pack as leveling is concerned.

I only got to run Blood Furnace once yesterday and got passed over for a Underbog group. Blood Furnace wasn't that shabby, wasn't great. About twice as long as Ramparts with the same amount of bosses and tons of trash. First boss, I don't even remember what you do, we just destroyed him. Second boss took 2 tries because we didn't assist. There are just 4 waves of mobs like 3 to 4 each and they switch being enraged. Then the boss comes out and he has like zero hp, but he will do this insane poison dot, and he leaves a death cloud when he dies. It was hilarious when the priest went to loot the body, he died. The last boss was also a joke. You take down these 5 adds then you attack him. He yells to come closer, but you run away because he does a blastwave but you just run back in and kill him. Loot was pretty unremarkable; I think mail/caster belt, druid legs, and I don't even know what dropped off the last boss. I would be more inclined to head back into Ramparts than back into here.

Went into the next zone, Zangarmarsh, FINALLY. Nothing much to say, I'm glad to see some grass and trees and some new mob models, but its the same old stuff quest wise.

I planned to write about maybe getting a Wii this weekend because I saw this coupon at Circuit City, but they changed it up online. So, I guess I will continue to wait.

Anime?

Nothing on anime recently, I mean I'm still interested, but unless its part of my core watch list ( Death Note, goth girl show, Kenchi, NANA ) I haven't even bothered to download it, let alone watch it. Which is a shame since, new shows are coming out. I should communicate with an friend of mine, he says he tries and keep up with stuff. Maybe he knows what's good.

Anything else?

Hmm, not really. I just plan to do a lot of WoW this weekend.

Thursday, January 18, 2007

If you're suppose to turn right I'll do this, if you're suppose to turn left I'll punch you in the face.

d.y.d.? Nope.

What's with these entry titles, last couple are making no sense?
I don't know. Don't ask dumb questions.

Games?

Didn't log onto WoW until 9:00 last night, as if I wasn't far enough behind in experience already. Third day playing and I still haven't left Hellfire Peninsula, but I think I've almost tapped this place out. According to a quest map I saw on some site I still have 6 to 9 quests left but screw it, I'm sick of this place. I just want to do a couple of Blood Furnace runs and I'm ready for the next zone.

I did my first instance of BC, Hellfire Ramparts, after fighting the lag. Took 15 minutes just to zone into the instance and 2/3 through ( which took a LONG time since we all would lag out of the game every time we looted a body ) we got hit by an 30 minutes server shutdown. After the restart things were better and I ran Ramparts twice. The experience was GOOD; like 600 exp a kill and its crazy short ( 40 minute runs ) with 3 bosses. The loot was really good for those with MC/ZG loots. I think 4 upgrades each for the 2 different healers we ran. I only got one upgrade to my old tier1 belt, and a blue neck dropped that I really couldn't do the math right then to see if it was better than ony neck, so I passed it to the hunter.

I really need to see more instances because this was definitely too easy. We were in mostly ZG, MC, and BWL epics but this instance could have been rolled by UBRS blues group and there were constant green and blue drops better than MC loots and sometimes equivalent to tier2. The bosses were not very interesting. First boss is just a tank and burn healer adds, second boss was a warlock mob with a plague ae style dot. Last boss was not bad; first you dropped his 2 adds, then the boss will engage. He hit hard but has VERY low hp, and his mount ( who is flying around ) bombs you and leaves that ae fire like the ZG bat boss. After you drop him, his mount will land and use a breath weapon and can still creates the ae fire puddles. Our kills of the last boss were sloppy; first time we killed him, the MT dropped like a brick to the breath weapon and we ended up kiting/burning him. Only the hunter survived but at least it was a 1 shot. The second time our healer was really dropping the ball; 3 wipes to instant MT deaths when the mount descended. It was a good instance, but after all the positive talk on the beta forums I expected more. I hope I can get into Blood Furnace tonight, and maybe The Slave Pens, even though I hear that's one of the worst instances in BC.

I also picked up my copy of Phoenix Wright 2 yesterday, and a used copy of RE: Code Veronica X for GameCube. Why did I get it?! Regret will settle in like it did with the Disgaea for $39.99. I haven't played Phoenix 2 though, I was about to pop in when the server went down, but I realized I still hadn't finished the first one. So, I put that in. It was good.

I found out today, I'm not sure about the details, but apparently there is a special Gamer's Gift Card at Best Buy that comes with a $5 dollar coupon for any game above $19.99. You can purchase this card for any amount, so technically you could get $5 off for .01 cent. I think I'm going to try it out later this month when Hotel Dusk comes out. I was going to get it at EB, but I saw that it was $34.99, when I later saw at Best Buy it was $29.99.

Anything else?

Yesterday, I had an idea that I should eat Cheetos with chopsticks to avoid the orange finger syndrome. I did it today at work and it was glorious. Way to go, me!

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

FYI: I like soda.

So no drawing? I thought about it.

Games?

These people at EB should be executed. When they say a game comings out on 01/16, it should be out that day, not shipped to the store. So once again I got to stop at this store for the third day in a row, to pick up my copy of Phoenix Wright 2. I did however pick up my promo stylus yesterday and it is HILARIOUS. I wish I had a phone or digital camera so I could give you the close up, but instead you will need to look at it from some picture I Googled.

Other than that, I just played Burning Crusade yesterday, way too late. I never left Hellfire Peninsula though because there are no less than infinity quests there. I finally got some loot that was an upgrade, but unfortunately its a damn clicky trinket so yet another thing that I need to remember to burn its cooldown. I should stop being lazy and make some macros.

Got to have dinner with my sisters tonight. Precious time that should be spent leveling. I hate the family bonds!

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

I once said, " Don't say nipple at my funeral."

Did you? Nope.

What's with the entry title? I don't know? I did say that though.

Game?

Burning Crusade: gotten, installed, and its caused me discomfort. I got my copy last night at 12:20 A.M.; I was there at 11:55 after I saw Volver, but there was a quite the line of young thugs, nerds, and dudes in eye-liner. I stood quietly even though I couldn't help but listen to these incredible loud people in front of me. If standing outside a video game store at midnight didn't make me feel like a dork, the fact I constantly wanted to chime into their conversation to tell them what noobs they were did. At the end of their talk this one dude was like, "Well, I'm prep-rogue do you think I should get HEMO?", then the loudest and most spastic of them says "HEMO seems more like a PvE ability to me. I don't see any kind of PvP application." In my mind my foot was already crushing his face. Anyway, I got it installed once I got home. After patching and problems trying to get in, I was actually in Outlands around 1:00 AM. Leaving for work at 7:15 I should probably have just logged off then instead of at 3:25.

Outlands, from the brief time I played was good. I only saw the first zone, Hellfire Peninsula, but after I did the first couple of "go here, go there" quests. The "!" started popping up everywhere. Hellfire is like a mix of Blasted Lands, Desolace, and not using a lot of terrain models. The gear is ridiculous; I got a green random drop bracer better than my ZG epic, two 40 dps plus daggers from 2 of the easiest quests ever, and a blue chest almost as good as tier1 chest from another insanely easy quest.

Hopefully, tonight I'll get into a group Hellfire Citadel group. I'm dying to an instance.

Movies?

Yeah, I saw Volver last night. I had time to burn till midnight and raiding was cancelled, I think. It was a decent movie, even though I felt it ended abruptly, but in retrospect it was probably not a bad ending. I really felt bad for this sister, Sole, in the movie. I don't want to give anything away, but lets talk about some serious parental favoritism to Penelope Cruz. HA, what I wrote is lame, once you seen the movie.

I'm not fan of going to the theater and seeing movies that are semi-political or have huge amounts of strife. I mean I do go, I'm not going to lie to myself ... that's for you JPL, but usually I do let those movies slip through. So I will probably not see that movie about the German author, or that movie with Clooney in Germany, and Babel also probably not going to be seen.

Monday, January 15, 2007

It could only be more worthless if it were Canadian Monopoly money.

Draw? No.

Monopoly?

CRUSHED. Friday after work I headed over to Anime Pavilion to play some Monopoly. Turned out no one but the store manager, Mike, and my friend, Steve, could play. But it was more than enough to allow the beatings to commence; Steve dominated 3 out of 4 games.

I will refer to it as "Game 3", was a complete embarrassment. A mere 40 minute into the game me and Mike were left with 3 mortgaged properties each and no cash or dignity in hand. Threats of knee-pipings were flying.

We tried to play again Saturday night, but we just ended up sitting around the board constantly referring to Baltic Avenue as Hooker Town. Apparently in a couple of weeks we are going to try and do midnight Scrabble instead.

Anime Fest 2?

I was shocked at the amazing interest when I think a record 3 people showed to this thing. Why does Steve even run these?

Even though I dragged my computer over there, they were more interested in what shows I downloaded than watching anything. Actually, what they seemed most interested in was I let this dude try out Trauma Center on my DS, and he ended up playing it for like an hour and half. After he turned it off he said he was going to buy a copy after we were done. OH, I gotten to a mission in Trauma Center that is RETARDEDLY hard, or maybe I just suck ... but you can see the mission I'm on, in this YouTube video. Oh, and if you are wondering I'm not playing it like that.

Later that night a couple of us played the VS. mode in Big Brain Academy. I think Steve and one of his employees are hooked; both of them asked me later how much it was to get a DS. I think we might actually try and do the DS tournaments at the store because Mike is a gamer mostly. I have no idea though how to advertise this thing. Hm, found out also there is an unsecured wireless you can pick up at the shop.

Movies?

SO, I didn't have to torch anything this weekend; Pan's Labyrinth finally came out at the theater down the street. It was good, very good. I mean it wasn't award winning, but it was everything I wanted and some. Shocked to find out the dude who made it, made Blade II. GAHHHH, so bad.

I had its bad parts. I couldn't tell if the main girl was just "I'm dumb because I'm young." or "I'm dumb because I'm an idiot."

Anything else?

My computer and router got hosed by some internet virus. I spent most of yesterday cleaning up my computer, and my router I don't even know if that's working. But I'm completely hijacking the internet because Burning Crusade out tonight! I'm prepared to spend a ridiculous amount of time playing it, with all my nerd fervor.

Friday, January 12, 2007

" Sep-nap-pu-cide ", best word ever? Von Doomliff's " true-che' " puts up good fight.

Have I drawn? Who cares!? "Have I ... DEATH NOTE 13 WHERE ARE YOU?"

I'm stoked. I plan full domination in Monopoly tonight. The restraint I'm going to show in not flaunting it, will be commendable. If my restraint was long-winded inspirational speeches I would be Sean Astin from Goonies ... plus that like 6 hour speech at the end of Two Towers ... and that part in Rudy where he is pretending he is the coach and standing on the stool in the empty locker room with that dude from Alien 3. Yes ... YES ... that much restraint.

Games?

Last night, raiding was fun. We didn't do Heigan, but we tried out Gothik instead. This encounter was specifically designed to rip guilds apart. The raid part is basically split into 2 groups, one group composed of casters and the other side melee. The casters get constant spawns and have to keep them crowd controlled and killed. Anytime something is killed on their side stuff spawns on the other side, and the melee have to burn them down. Step 3, the shit talking commences. "You are killing too slow", "You guys are killing too fast", "NO, your side isn't killing fast enough", "Mages are all idiots!" Well, I believe we are going back for more on Sunday, since it takes about 2 seconds to clear to Gothik. So, I can't wait.

Been thinking instead of doing Risk at the next Game Club? Maybe trying to set up a Tetris DS tournament ... Sounds good, save my zero participant turn-out at my club meetings.

Movies?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Pan's Labyrinth is out down the street. If it weren't for Monopoly I would see it tonight, but tomorrow afternoon will have to do.

Anything else?

Not really, breakfast at Smith and Clarkson's again. So delicious ... why is there no Shoney's here!?

Hmmm, another pictureless entry. So bland ... so lazy.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

"Hey, want to move a small metal dog in a segmented loop in increments of 2 to 12 for 3 to 6 hours? Its fun!"

Drawing? Actually, a little bit. Maybe not.

If you remember and possibly read the flier I posted, you would know that I was suppose to do late night Monopoly this Saturday. Well no more, it was a little too "late" night, so I'll be playing tomorrow instead.

I'm planning to revamp my strategy some; be a little nicer since apparently after driving a player into poverty, throwing money into their face and telling them, "Here! Tell your mother she doesn't have to walk the streets tonight! Ha~haaa, she's a hooker." Doesn't help you make vital trade in the late game. The last two times I've played Monopoly, my attitude has lead to some shady trades which caused my defeat. Not this time, I will save my laughs and slanders till everyone else is penny less and broken.

Note: Not a compliment to tell someone out of the blue, "Your mothers not a whore..."

Games?

I logged into WoW yesterday without a problem, and raiding was good. I found out they were only able to drop 2 bosses, and they got the worst loot EVER. Obviously, it was the lack of my presence that caused it since we dropped the other 3 bosses yesterday and the loots were FANTASTIC. We also started work on Heigan. He has a hyper-respawn tunnel before him and you have to go straight from the tunnel into the fight. He is a coordination battle, so tonight I plan to pay some huge repair bills, but it will be fun.

Other stuff?

What you do you think? There is like no time for stuff, and WoW. What a bad game you are! Actually I'm waiting for episode of stuff I watch to COME OU....t...WHERE ARE YOU DEATH NOTE 13!!!!?

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

"Man, I wish there were 2 people left, so they could do it."

Hone my skills any? I wouldn't say so, but to burn sometime at work I did a doodle which I've turned into my first deviantart submission ... and my greatest shame. Now I only need to start my LiveJournal and it'll be like I've gone back in time 10 years, and became a girl.

Games?

Last night, I got home late after getting settled I discovered there was a huge WoW patch. I was able to get it down in time for raiding, but then after two hours of trying I wasn't able to connect. So no raid for me. I think they took down Raz, Anub, and I'm sure GWF ... possibly Noth, I doubt Maexnna. I hope I don't have any problems today because I'd like to see maybe Gothik or Heigan tonight.

What did I do instead of WoW? Hmm, more Summon Night. I stopped doing the progression stuff and ground materials to fill up my weapon technique list in the new levels of the labyrinth available. Also, played some Trauma Center got past this GUILT surgery that blocked me for the last 2 weeks, but after that you have to defuse this bomb. I'm clueless on how you are actually suppose to do it. I was blown up numerous times. I shut off the game knowing I was less of a man.

Anime, TV, Movies, Deep Thoughts?

Umm, nah. I pretty much did nothing. Yet still got to sleep extremely late. I overslept for the third day in a row.

Tuesday, January 9, 2007

Have I been living in a cave? I just now want to judo chop Atlus in the throat.

Do you "work on your" or "practice your" drawing?
I don't know, but which ever it is...I haven't.

Games?

I finally got a CTS out of BWL. Like Von Doomliff said though, it was probably a complete waste of DKP since we can kill Fankriss, or I could PvP for 2 weeks and have a vastly superior weapon, or it will be instantly outdated in Burning Crusade. I suspect in 2 to 3 days I'll be pissed over buying it.

In less than a week Burning Crusade will be out. Burning Crusade, it will break me. I have to figure out on my limited play times: how I'm going to maintain steady leveling (hopefully with an A or B guild group), build reputation, and do all the new attunements. It would be simple if I wasn't working. Damn you work, you've screwed me again. I am just saying that since really, I've never worked before at like a real job, so job screwings have been minimal. I have thought about taking the 16th off, but I make $100 a day after taxes, so I don't think I will. It'll most likely be my sleep will suffer... more.

Oblivious to the beast?

Why didn't I know of Atlus before? I don't think I knew they exisited until Disgaea. But now I want all their games for GBA and DS and they have like ten million of them, 1/2 of them impossible to get. Does Atlus even make games? I think they only distribute, but they distribute fantastic games. After some research I discovered they have an impressive RPG line-up. Plans to purchase M3 Lite adapter is going to have to step up because it would cost a fortune to track down and buy all the games that look good under their distro...hmmm, but internet dealers and emulators are so shady.

Watched anything new? Yeah this:
Saiunkoku Monogatari

I downloaded the first one when it came out a while ago. I got it because the character designs reminded me of Fushigi Yuugi, which was awesome. Even though Fushigi Yuugi had a dude who dressed as a woman, and like other dudes...still LESS gay than than this show. Ehhh, its not that gay actually; other than having almost no female characters and lots of longing looks between guys. Yeah, gay but it doesn't focus on that. From what I've seen so far, its gearing up to be a political drama.

Its about this girl who is poor but from a respected family, and when the official offers her some money she jumps at it and becomes the new slacker emperor's motivator slash, teacher slash, consort. Its a mild comedy with like some romantic stuff going on. It reminds me of most historical Chinese or Korean dramas I've seen, but this time I understand what they are saying instead of being like, "What the hell just happened? Why did they just zoom in on that dude? So CLOSE!". I'll continue to watch it when I have time.

Weekend Activities? Respirate.

Did I use any of my free time to practice? Nah.

First weekend in 2007 is over and it wasn't too shabby. I didn't do anything, but nothing made it suck.

Movies?

I saw Children of Men on Saturday, after JPL told me it would, "...rape my face." I took that as a positive, even though it could only be horrifying if the real life incident occurred. The movie was good. I'll admit I say a lot of bad things about movies, but I don't have anything bad to say about it. Oh, someone told me that Pan's Labyrinth was supposed to be released at the theater down the street this Friday. If it does not come out that day, seriously I'm going to torch a building. If I did that though, would I be able to resist the slow walk, so I can be silhouetted by the flame? I can only assume the slow-paced dramatic exit is a number one reasons for criminals getting caught.

I was going to name today's entry, "Hey, Uwe Boll, Fuck you!" This Friday while coming home I realized that Uwe Boll had pretty much reached international fame for making the worst movies known to man. No one should be throwing around of the name of the man who made House of the Dead, even if its to call him a hack on some internet forum. After this day, I will never mention Uwe Boll again, I suggest you (Von Doomliff) my only reader, to do the same.

TV?

The majority of my weekend was spent watching the first season of "How I Met Your Mother" which I got as a christmas gift. Show is amazing! Neil Patrick Harris...hilarious, Cobie that brunette...HOT, and old Ted is Bob Saget...DID YOU SEE THE ARISTOCRATS? Its a shame minor pop culture references have jumped the shark, damn you Family Guy. I don't care if I'm called trite, I will love them forever. As I love Karate Kid and Goonies.

Anime? Should I have listed this under TV?

Ehh, watching an entire season of a TV show does not leave you with much time for anything else. Episode 11 of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge or as I will refer to it from now on, "the goth girl show", finally came out Friday. It was only disappointing after the long wait, it was probably was a decent episode. Lets hope the next one comes out today or tomorrow and redeems this show. Eh, maybe not since the show is actually not that great, but the voice actress for the main character is amazing.

Where is Death Note 13?! These fansubbers with their own lives, WHAT ABOUT US!?!

Games?

Raiding was actually fun. We dropped Noth our first new boss in a while and we got to move on to a new boss, Patchwerk. Patchwerk is a beast. He deserves a better character model, not just being a big abomination. Why are they so lazy? They can make good character models, Maexnna is awesome looking. She looks like MC Pee Pants from ATHF.

Anything Else?

Nope. Not right now.

Latino Belmont: Best name ever?

Did I practice? No.

Did Von Doomliff finish the script? No.

Did I waste time at work like never before? CLOSE! The day I did nothing but watch speed runs of video games on YouTube cannot be beat.

Today, I've done the absolute minimum. I barely made the effort to look busy, and its Friday! I can't wait to get out of here. I spent the majority of the day making a flier I'm putting up at my friend Steve's idstore. This flier like many other things, proves not only am I mediocre and inexperienced at Photoshop, but I need to be bad and faster at Photoshop. I spent so long on this flier, hours and hours over 2 days, and I didn't really do anything but add this Monopoly title deed to an FMA art book picture I found on Google.

Man, the text, too. I'm ashamed in general, quite the bad joke. Horrible... ... ... .... .. ....SEPPUKU~! I'm dead.

Other stuff?

Last night raiding was still lame. I got my first piece of Naxx loot and its uber. Also, like we are crazy close to killing Noth.

I played some more Summon Night, which was a bad idea since I went into this dungeon at like 1:00 am and took me like 45 minutes to get to the next save spot. Personal opinion on that game: AXES ARE TOO GOOD.

Anything else?

In Conan the
Barbarian, which is a fantastic movie, do you think they had Conan turn that big thing in the beginning to become a man-ster, or my personal theory, power a personal-sized fan for the taskmaster?

Oh, last thing.

I might need to read this comic Von
Doomliff mentioned last weekend because has an AMAZING name, "Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse". Phenomenal name, like next month I'll probably get this game just because its named, "Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja". HILARIOUS!

Yes, its fun. Nothing is better than hitting the "2" button constantly!

Did I practice? Umm...no.

But, before I went home yesterday I did pre-order Phoenix Wright 2: Justice For All at this EB down the street, so I could get the special pre-order stylus. I've gone game crazy, I almost pre-ordered everything that I wanted right on the spot. Final Fantasy VI Advance on 02/04/07 and I mentioned Hotel Dusk is coming out like a week after Phoenix 2.

I have shown some restraint, not that Zelda: Twilight Princess isn't appealing, but until something that I can't resist come out on Wii, I've decided to hold off on it, and just keep up with the DS titles coming out, and back-tracking some GBA games. Well, actually I want to do some more research and get one of these M3 adapters, so I can play GBA and NDS emus. Free is better than...not free.

Side Note: Mistwalker better not be an amazing company! I will kill John Paul Lamprea and then Bill Gates.

Last night, WoW raiding started again. The holiday break was nice, raiding still sucks. We were in Naxx, and I died like 800 times to trash mobs. It was not just me who sucked, we wiped so much to GWF and Raz. No no, its not our fault... its Blizzard that sucks, mind-control fights are STUPID. JPL(John-Paul Lamprea), he told me , why didn't I believe...his genius cannot be put into words.

John Paul Lamprea, one-half of the Council of John Pauls. This dude loves games, his opinion highly regarded...people should make pilgrimage to his house. But alas he hates people, and these seekers would receive a lot of "Begone, I'm eating Hardees'. $6 Burger you will never betray me." I just imagined the outrage he will feel when it becomes $6.99, but for some reason still call it $6 burger, his mind might explode to the contradiction and by how much Hardees' has wronged him. But I can't blame him for hating people they aren't great. He is really without any faults really, except the guy loves to watch Grey's Anatomy.

Anyway back to Naxx, we had two 1% wipes on Raz because of mind control breaks, and all the DPS can't help getting insta-gibbed. "Insta-gibbed", I don't even know what that means. Anyway, GWF is retarded in the same way, we had breaks and MT dies in like a second. Unlike Raz we did end up killing GWF, the attempt we won I died when she was at 95%.

After the raid I watched another episode of Kemonozume, which was a bad decision since it was almost 1:00 am. The animation doesn't bother me at all now. Episode 4 was some back story which is good since you have no idea whats going on for the most part. But, it kind of revealed that like good guys are bad, and bad guys are not that bad, but ummm...still bad. They eat people...when is that ever not bad?

I'll probably won't find anytime to watch anymore tonight, more Naxx today.

Sorry, I can't. I have important sitting on my ass to do!

Yeah, I didn't practice drawing yesterday. I thought I was going to start raiding in WoW again, but that's tonight. Instead I played some games and started watch a new anime series.

I just saw on the Atlus site and you can order Disgaea for $29.99 new, I paid $39.99 for a used copy. I thought I was OK with it since I hate ordering stuff on the internet, but after seeing it with my eyes, I REGRET!

Well, why was I on Atlus site? To show you a screen of this:
Summon Knight: Swordcraft Story

I got this Sunday while getting Von Doomliff his christmas gift. I read a review of it on www.joystiq.com, I think. The review was right, its pretty good.

It feels like an old RPG, except it doesn't have turn-based battles. There are random battles but when you battle its like a side scrolling action, like in Zelda 2 for NES.

The battle system and the game is centered around weapons and weapon making. There are 5 weapon types, but you can have 3 different types equipped (which you can rotate through in battle, supposedly to do some combos) when you grind for smithing materials in this labyrinth. but you also do tournament battles for story progression and you can only have one weapon equipped for that. Some of the weapons are pretty broken; fist and axes both have a stunning move you can use over and over and nothing I've encountered really is immune to just spamming them with it.

Other than some of the weapons being too good, there isn't that much that's bad, but I didn't have huge hopes for it when I got it. The reviews say is the worst part is the amount of random battles.

There are a lot of random battles, but they are short and easy. Unlike FFIII for DS, where after you beat each battle you spend like a 1/2 hour on the gaining levels and job levels screen, or worse Phantasy Star 2 or the beginning of Shining in the Darkness where each random battle is epic and death is a complete possibility. OHHHH, Phantasy Star 2!!! After each random battle, dudes should have come out and carried you away cheering, then a freeze frame when they run the credits. Oh, man...there aren't that many random battles because I've played Lufia 2. I've traveled back from the future to write this because somewhere I'm still playing it.

I also played some Phoenix Wright, the game is hilarious. The sequel comes out 01/16/07, so I'll probably buy it when I pick up my copy of Burning Crusade. Also, this game Hotel Dusk, is coming out 01/22/07, definitely getting that too.

Also, I watched a couple episodes of this show:
Kemonozume

First episode, I thought I was going to hate this show, but after 3 episodes I got some interest.

Show is definitely surreal. The animation is like taking the character designs of the Heavy Metal movie and combining it with the frame rate of the MAXX, and using an unknown process to make it suck more. But, I don't know if its because I liked it more or it was getting better, but what I couldn't stand to look at in episode 1 was pretty good looking in episode 3.

I'll probably watch some more tonight, since I downloaded Sunabozu and after 12 episodes I just can't watch anymore. I'll download the Shana OVA today, but WHERE IS YAMATO NADESHIKO SHICHI HENGE EPISODE 11, or Death Note 13.

Avoiding work is my profession.

What am I doing?
Writing my first blog entry.

What should I be doing?
Probably my job since I'm sitting at my desk at work.

Who am I?
I'm going to be the illustrator for Strawberry Milk Injection, a badly conceived harem webcomic by my friend, Von Doomliff.

Is there something I want to say?
I want to express how much this comic can only suck. Von Doomliff is a horrible writer and frankly I don't think he knows anything about harem. Why would he want to write this thing at all? My personal theory, is that its a combination at his disgust of Megatoyko, his obsession with the comic, Next Wave, and a splash of his strange desire to control and financial exploit the fanboy populous through commercial means.

O.K, it has a completely ass story maybe the illustrations can save it?
HELL NO, I am a horrible illustrator. I did go to school for "art", but I saw first hand that you can indeed suck it huge, and still make it through "art" school. But, even then if I had a shred of talent, its gone now since I haven't drawn anything beyond a SD version of myself for the last like six...maybe seven years.

Well, since its been taking Von Doomliff like I don't know like sixteen months plus to finish the draft for the first 2 pages of S.M.I., I thought maybe I should take some time to you know, practice. I'm as good at practicing as I am at not surfing game blogs and forums at my job.

Does that mean you are going to practice?
Ummm...yeah, maybe...

Why do you have this extremely gay pink as your heading color?
ITS CORAL! And its awesome...
